Featuring
Jacqueline Terrebone
Galerie Magazine Editor in Chief
Jacqueline Terrebonne serves as Galerie’s editor in chief, after originally joining the team in the role of design editor in 2016. Her varied artistic interests and deep sense of curiosity inform the diverse and
eclectic mix of design, fashion, and visual arts in every issue of the magazine. In addition to being a member of BAFTA and the James Beard Foundation, she completed a book of design tips for the home with Jeffrey Bilhuber for Rizzoli, entitled Everyday Decorating. Prior to her work at Galerie, she held positions at Architectural Digest, Gourmet, and Martha Stewart Living.
Silvia Furmanovich
Fine Jewelry Artist
Silvia Furmanovich has become one of the most visionary artists working in fine jewelry today. Born in Sao Paulo, Furmanovich comes from a lineage of Italian goldsmiths; her great-grandfather
created ornaments for the Vatican. Furmanovich draws on varied cultural and traditions – from Japan and India to Italy and the Amazonian Rainforests – re-imagining them through her in-depth exploration of techniques. The designer has won the Couture Design Award four times. Her collections have won the Town & Country Jewelry Awards three times. She was also a nominee for the Jewelry Design Award at the Jewelers of America’s GEM Awards 2019.
Alexandra Llewellyn
Designer
Designer of beautifully crafted and intricately detailed games, Alexandra Llewellyn’s work makes play into something magnificent. From her famed Backgammon boards to poker sets, and from
games tables to card boxes, each piece is conceived in London before being handmade by specialist artisans across the UK. Every Alexandra Llewellyn Backgammon board passes through no fewer than nine craft workshops on its journey from idea to realisation. Using materials of peerless quality, always with sustainable origins and often in unusual combinations; her award-winning designs are canvases for meticulous marquetry and bewitching print. Inspired by the games played (and the bonds made) as a child with her step-grandfather in the backstreets of Cairo, Alexandra’s love of Backgammon has been lifelong.
Peter Speliopoulos
