Designer Tours

Salon hosts tours of the fair led by renowned international architects and designers. Each will lead a small group of visitors though the fair, highlighting works of art and design, discussing trends and offering insight into his or her specific taste and aesthetic.

Lee F. Mindel

Principal of the multi award-winning firm SheltonMindel, Lee Mindel received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1976 after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, with Distinction in Architecture, at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been honored with Interior Design Best of Year Awards; National Design Award; AIA New York State Awards; American Architecture Awards; Society of American Registered Architects Awards, among others.

Peter Pennoyer

Peter Pennoyer is the principal partner of Peter Pennoyer Architects, a New York-based, 60-member firm with commissions worldwide. He has made the study of history a generating force in his work and believes that by mastering the interpretation of architectural history, he and his colleagues design projects that are both modern and classical. With current projects from Hong Kong to Florida to New York’s Upper East Side the Pennoyer practice is extending its reach and range to include institutional and commercial buildings. Peter is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and is on Architectural Digest’s AD100 list of top architects and designers.

Kristen McGinnis

One of the rising stars in interior design with a curatorial knowledge of 20th century art and design. She is known for the couture-like detail and innovation of her designs. Traditional Home Magazine selected McGinnis as one of the Top 20 Young Interior Designers to watch.

Sandra Nunnerley

Author of Interiors, New York City based Nunnerley runs an interior design studio specializing in high-end residential projects. For over 20 years she has worked across the globe on prestigious residential interior design commissions, ranging from urban homes to tropical getaways to country estates.

Alyssa Urban

Alyssa Urban, design partner at Cullman and Kravis , is a New York City native and earned her BA in Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin. After living in Florence, Italy where she developed her antiquing skills, she began her career in television as a set designer for The Conan O’Brien and Dana Carvey shows, and eventually moved her talents to the interior design industry. After working for several noteworthy firms doing both hospitality and residential design, Alyssa came to Cullman and Kravis in 2000.

She has completed significant residences such as a Georgian residence in Houston, a New Jersey estate in Horse Country, a Fifth Avenue Pied-a-terre, and a waterfront home in Sagaponack. Alyssa is known for layering her interiors with both traditional and modern elements and loves shopping the Art and Antique shows, seeking out up and coming artists, popping contemporary art within a traditional setting.

Perry Sayles
